Sticker Quicker receives your information through our websites (stickerquicker.com and app.stickerquicker.com), mobile applications, email and text notifications, phone calls, and our Fremont office. This policy explains what we collect, why, who receives it, and the choices and rights you have.

Information collection and use

We use your personal information to complete your DMV transactions, to operate the Service, to contact you about your transactions and other activity on the Service, and to forward messages to you from other Service users. These are known as "Operational Communications."

The information we collect includes the details you give us to complete a DMV transaction, such as your name, postal address, email address, vehicle information, and, if you choose to provide it, your mobile telephone number. Some transactions require government identifiers such as a driver license number. Mobile numbers are covered by the SMS and text messaging section below.

Payment information

Card payments are processed by our payment processor. We never store your full card number or your card security code (CVV). With each order we keep the card type, the last four digits, the expiration date and the name on the card so you and our staff can recognize the payment.

Log data

Our servers automatically record information ("Log Data") created by your use of the Service. Log Data may include your IP address, browser type, operating system, the referring web page, pages visited, approximate location, your mobile carrier, device and application IDs, search terms, and cookie information.

Cookies and advertising

We use cookies and similar tools to keep the site working, to measure how it is used, and to let advertising partners show you our ads on other sites. Our Cookie Policy explains each kind and why we use it.

We also use our own first-party measurement to learn which advertising, search results and referring websites bring visitors to us. When you arrive from an ad, a search engine or another website, your browser keeps the details of that visit (such as the campaign name, the referring site and the page you landed on) for up to 90 days, and our application at app.stickerquicker.com sets a first-party visitor cookie (sq_vid) on stickerquicker.com for up to two years so that a later order can be matched to the visit that led to it. Sticker Quicker uses this information only to measure its own marketing.

You can turn off advertising cookies at any time on our Your Privacy Choices page, and we automatically honor the Global Privacy Control signal. We do not respond to the older Do Not Track browser setting, which has no agreed standard.

Who receives your information

We disclose personal information only as needed to provide the Service: to the California Department of Motor Vehicles and other agencies that process your transaction, to our payment processor, to shipping carriers, to our text messaging and email providers, and to hosting, security, session analytics and support providers who work for us under contract and may not use the data for their own purposes. Advertising partners receive browsing data as described above unless you opt out. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

Modifying your personal information

If you are a registered user of our Services, we provide you with tools and account settings to access or modify the profile information you provided to us. You can permanently delete your stickerquicker.com account by contacting us at [email protected].

Children's privacy

Our Services are not directed to persons under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. Persons under 18 may use our Services only with the consent of a parent or guardian.

SMS and text messaging

If you provide your mobile number and opt in to text messages, we use it only to send transactional messages about your own DMV order and messages relating to the security of your account. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help, email [email protected], or call 916-270-6400. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your California privacy rights

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you the rights below. This section is our notice at collection and describes the last 12 months.

What we collect and why. Identifiers (name, postal and email address, phone number, IP address, cookie and device IDs) and customer records (vehicle information, transaction history) to complete and support your DMV transactions and your account. Sensitive information: government identifiers (such as a driver license number) only when a DMV transaction requires one, and your account sign-in details, used only to complete your transactions and secure your account. Commercial information (orders and payments) to process and bill your transactions. Internet activity (pages viewed, clicks, visit details) and approximate location from your IP address to run and improve the site, to find where checkout fails, to detect and prevent fraudulent orders and card use, and to measure and show our advertising. We collect this from you, from your browser, and from the DMV systems that process your transaction.

Sale and sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. We share identifiers and internet activity with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising, which the CCPA treats as a sale or share. You can opt out on our Your Privacy Choices page or with Global Privacy Control. We use sensitive personal information only to provide the Service you requested, so no right to limit applies.

How long we keep it. For as long as your account is active and as long as DMV business partner record-keeping rules, tax law and dispute resolution require, then we delete or de-identify it.

Your rights. You may ask us to tell you what personal information we have collected about you, including specific pieces and the categories of sources, purposes and recipients; to delete it; to correct inaccurate information; and to stop selling or sharing it. We will not deny service, charge a different price, or provide a different quality of service because you exercised these rights.

How to make a request. Email [email protected] or call 916-270-6400 (toll-free 888-635-0143). We confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days, or tell you if we need up to 45 more. To protect your information we verify your identity by matching details you give us against our records, such as the email and a recent order on your account. You may use an authorized agent; we will ask for your signed permission and may ask you to verify your identity directly. Opt-out requests do not need verification and are handled within 15 business days.

Shine the Light. California residents may also ask for a notice describing the categories of personal information we share with third parties for their own direct marketing. We do not provide any personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

Changes to this policy
