If you are coming from Oakland, remember that trucks over 9,000 lbs are banned from I-580 between Foothill Boulevard in San Leandro and Grand Avenue in Oakland (CVC 35655.5), so take I-880.
Most transactions do not need the truck at all. Bring or send us the paperwork, and we only need to see the vehicle when a VIN verification is required.

Where can I register a commercial truck in the Bay Area without going to the DMV?

Can I drive my truck to the Fremont counter on I-580?
Not through Oakland. Trucks over 9,000 lbs are banned from the 8.7 miles of I-580 between Foothill Boulevard in San Leandro and Grand Avenue in Oakland. Use I-880 instead. Most of what we do at Sticker Quicker is paperwork, so you only need to bring the truck itself for a VIN verification.
Do Port of Oakland drayage trucks need anything beyond DMV registration?
Yes. Trucks serving Oakland seaport terminals must be enrolled in the Port's STEP truck registry and meet CARB requirements, and drivers need a TWIC card. At Sticker Quicker we handle the DMV registration side and can post renewal fees during a Clean Truck Check hold, where eligible. The port and CARB registries are separate filings that stay with you.
